Premium Blister Protection with Microsheet Silicate Technology - Tuff Stuff is a premium, extremely high‑build two‑part epoxy primer engineered for fast, reliable barrier protection. Formulated with advanced microsheet silicate technology, it creates millions of overlapping microscopic plates that form a 100% water‑proof barrier, blocking moisture penetration and protecting vulnerable substrates from blistering and long‑term damage.
Designed for demanding marine environments, Tuff Stuff is exceptionally effective as a blister‑prevention system for fibreglass and performs equally well as a durable bilge coating, thanks to its resistance to both oil and water. As a universal primer, it also provides outstanding corrosion protection for metals below the waterline, including aluminium, bronze, stainless steel, cast iron and lead.
With its high-build formulation, Tuff Stuff delivers superior coverage with fewer coats, reducing labour time and haul‑out costs. It is ideal for priming props, shafts, keels, trim tabs, thru‑hulls and lower units, creating a tough, overlapping barrier that eliminates direct pathways for water migration.
Application & Film Thickness
👉🏻 Spray Application: 152 - 191 µm DFT per coat 292 - 368 µm WFT for a smoother finish
👉🏻 Roller Application: 91 - 107 µm DFT per coat 178 - 203 µm WFT for a smoother finish
Recommended Coats: 2 - 4 coats depending on service conditions
Use Tuff Stuff over blistered fibreglass as a repair coat, or over sound, unblistered fibreglass as a full barrier coat.
